Southern Pecan Moonshine has a long journey to fruition. After moonshine is created, some of the moonshine base is added to oak barrels for aging and for the creation of blueberry brandy. Once the blueberry brandy has completed aging, some of the blueberry brandy product is mixed with moonshine base along with pecan wood chips and aged for 6 more months. After the final 6 months of aging, southern pecan moonshine is ready to take home.
Blueberry brandy is created with a little help from moonshine. Once the moonshine is fermented and created, it is aged in our oak barrel cask aging room for 6 months. The blueberries used to make blueberry brandy are also from Blue Bayou Farms.
